Barbara Kleiber and Ed Ponzini, with over 35 years experience in independent pharmacies, found an increasing need for a customer service oriented retail pharmacy and surgical supply store in the Wayne area. Barbara has worked in the Pompton Lakes / Wayne area for the past 15 years and Ed has lived in the Wayne community for many years.
They have both heard the complaints and frustrations of those who feel there is no alternative to the chain pharmacies in the area. Together, Barbara and Ed decided to provide a service that the greater Wayne community has been asking for. With a team motto of "Personalized Service - The Way It Should Be," Barbara and Ed opened Wayne Pharmacy & Surgical Supplies on February 14th 2004, providing a comfortable, personal yet professional atmosphere.
In our Butler location (on Route 23 South) of Wayne Pharmacy, you will find
George Stagg as pharmacist-in-charge.
George Stagg, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of St. John's University, brings 29 years of retail pharmacy experience to provide unsurpassed service to the community.
After one year of chain pharmacy experience, George vowed never to work for a chain again. He then took a postion at a local independent pharmacy in Bloomingdale. That was Ward's Pharmacy, with occational appearances at Lakeland Pharmacy in the Meadtown Shopping Center. Oher positions held include Preakness Pharmacy in Wayne and West Milford Pharmacy.
We too honor the motto of "Personalized Service- The Way It Should Be". But we like to include "Building Relationships, One Person at a Time". When you patronize Wayne Pharmacy, you are treated like family. "I like to ask myself ''To what lengths would I go to help this person if he or she were my cousin?'. And there is the Wayne Pharmacy difference. I'm not only your phamacist, I'm your friend" says George.
